Hello My Lovies,
About 8 years ago I had a tummy tuck and it was the best thing I ever did for myself. As a mom of three children who are now 20, 18 and 13 and being a petite woman of ahem, 5 feet, I had stretched skin that exercise wouldn’t fix! My wonderful doctor, David Kung, did a fantastic job and I was so happy with it! See my pictures here on my Pinterest page. At that time I considered having a lipo done on my legs but decided against it, thinking the recovery would be too much. I was right!!! David is a very a very accomplished physician, he holds doctorates with honors from both Harvard Medical School and Columbia University, and has completed residencies with distinction at the Massachusetts General Hospital as well as the University of North Carolina/Duke University Medical Center. I love that he is always looking for the newest technology that will yield the best results for the patient. Find out more about David here.
In late 2013, I was again thinking about the lipo and one of my friends that I referred to David was telling me about a new procedure called HydroSolve. HydraSolve® is a smooth new approach to aesthetic body contouring. Derived from precision eye surgery, HydraSolve®utilizes warmed and low pressurized saline solution and a specially designed cannula employing Tissue Liquefaction Technology (TLT) to simultaneously liquefy and remove fat without damage to other vital tissues. Because it does not use cutting or shear force to remove fatty tissue, the HydraSolve®system eliminates the need for the forceful thrusting required in traditional liposuction procedures. Dr. Kung has the only HydroSolve machine currently in the state of Maryland. Find more information about HydroSolve here.
Whoa! I thought this was going to be a walk in the park… So this was uncharted for me. I have 20+ tattoos, three children, and a tummy tuck and none of this prepared me for the pain I experienced. While I am happy with the results at six weeks, I am still sore on my quads and I am easing back into running at the gym, This is not for the faint at heart. Stayed tuned for my after pictures, which I will post in 6 weeks.
