Personal shopping is one of my favorite aspects of my business. One of the most unserved markets is the Plus Sized Women. Designers don’t cater to this market and they are truly missing out. Lane Bryant and Torrid are two of the stores that sell plus sized clothing but are lacking what these women really need. For one, they assume all curvy women aren’t. Most tops are boxy and made of from cheap fabric. A woman with curves needs structure in fabric, not shiny cheap polyester. Two, the styles are very trendy, not timeless. What’s a curvy girl to do?
Enter Madison Plus, a full service fashion mall of sorts for the full figured woman. Ladies rejoice, someone is finally paying attention.
The new Wonder Woman is on her way. I am a baby of the seventies so I grew up with Wonder Woman. Lynda Carter was my favorite heroine, plus she had a hot costume! Here’s a shot of the new costume, worn by Adrianne Palicki. I still think Lynda holds the title. What do you think?
I love dresses! They are feminine, chic and easy to accessorize. Here’s some dresses I came across this week that struck my fancy!
Halle has been one of my favorites style icons for a little while. She understands her body and wears dresses that complement her shape well. I have to say I really like this dress on her even though I normally not a Pucci fan. The colors, the print and the cut off the dress look great. I am not wild about the cut outs below the girls, that’s the one thing I would change. What do you think?
For those of you who don’t know who Justin Bieber is, get on board. I went to see his Never Say Never flick a few weeks ago and was duly impressed. Justin has paid his dues, there was no overnight sensation. He has more passion and drive than most adults I know. You don’t have to be a 12 year old girl to catch Bieber fever. I love that him and Selena make such a fashion conscious cute couple. They complement, not compete. You gotta love young love….
Just when you think you have heard it all, you hear something else. When I came across this on the Huffington Post, I was speechless. Apparently the dress has diamonds on it, which would mean you have to have bodyguards with you at all times for fear of being dress napped! What do you think, is it worth it?
